The latest release of Objective Connect contains one of the most requested features, ending a share automatically.
Automatically end a Share
The ability to automatically end a Share at a defined date and time has become increasingly important as organisations have embedded Objective Connect into their core business processes.
From the new Options tab, Share owners can now define the date and time for a Share to end:
- On Share creation
- During the lifetime of the Share
Share owners can also change the end date and time, should they need to extend a deadline. Learn more in this video.
Use Cases
This feature is extremely useful in a whole host of scenarios:
- procurement processes, such as time limited tenders
- sharing sensitive information, where you need to limit the time information can be accessed
- consultation activities
- policy review processes
- many more
Keep your participants informed
Share Owners and Participants are notified, by email, at defined periods, prior to the automatic ending of the Shares and when the Share has ended. Often, these notifications act as a reminder to perform an activity related to the shared content (e.g. Review, Approve, Respond).
The end date for a Share (if there is one defined) is also displayed in the metadata of the Share in the Share list page do upcoming deadlines can be easily identified when scanning the Share list on your Connect home page.
Easy access to Administration controls
We've also responded to the needs of our Workgroup Administrators who have requested easier access to administration
features (such as Workgroup management and Reporting). Access to these features is now available from the user menu in the UI.
