The upcoming release of Objective Connect contains some much requested end user features.
Moving documents within a share
Reorganising your Shares is faster and easier now that you can move documents and folders from one location to another within a single Share. When you move your documents and folders any associated conversations move with them.
To move a document or folder, select them, then drag and drop them where you would like them to appear. To move them to another location drop them on a location in the breadcrumb below the blue stripe at the top of your screen. Please note that the location must be in the same Share.
When you select documents and folders, they are highlighted in blue so you know they have been selected.
If you cannot see where you want to move it to, simply select the document or file and select
Cut from the toolbar.
You can now create a new folder, or navigate to an existing one, and select
Paste to complete the move.
Do you want to move several documents or folders at the same time? That’s easy too, press Ctrl (Command on a Mac) and click on each of the documents and folders you want to move. Then either drag and drop, or use Cut and Paste.
Auto suggest Objective Connect contacts
Objective Connect now remembers people you've worked with in the past, speeding up the process of creating Shares and adding participants, especially if you find yourself participating in multiple Shares with the same people. When you type in part of an email address or username into the Add or Invite dialogs, you'll see a list appear with up to ten suggested 'contacts' for you to choose from. These contacts come from several different sources:
- Anyone you have ever invited to a Share
- Anyone from whom you have accepted a Share invitation (providing their email address was not hidden at the time)
- Anyone with whom you are currently participating in a Share, provided you can see their email address
This much requested feature makes information sharing in the context of your business processes even easier.
